Does the app really work without internet?
Yes. Whenever the app has a connection it caches the latest rates on your device. After that, conversions work offline using those cached numbers — and the app shows you when they were last updated, so you can decide whether to trust them for a given purchase.
Where do the exchange rates come from?
Rates are sourced from a reputable exchange-rate provider (see the placeholder in our Privacy Policy for the current source). They are mid-market reference rates intended for everyday travel use, not for financial trading. Banks and card networks add their own spread, so the rate you actually receive at the checkout will differ.
Is there a subscription or in-app advertising?
No. The app costs a small one-time price on the App Store / Google Play. There are no subscriptions, no banner ads, and no upsell screens.
Why does the app ask for location?
Only to suggest a reasonable default currency when you arrive somewhere new — for example, switching the secondary currency to IDR when you land in Bali. Location is optional, never sent to a server, and you can decline without losing any features.
How accurate are the conversions?
The app uses standard mid-market rates and shows them with sensible decimal precision. They are accurate enough for restaurant tabs, taxi fares, and shopping. For wires, large purchases, or contracts, always verify the rate with your bank.
Does the app sell my data?
No. There is no advertising SDK and no analytics that follow you across apps. The little we collect (described in the Privacy Policy) stays minimal and is used only to keep the app running.
